Janice, truer words were never spoken! Networking is an absolutely vital component to a business. It’s an investment and a sacrifice, but the time and effort spent can lead to huge rewards. And not just monetary rewards - I have gained valuable knowledge and insight through networking, and have also made some wonderful friendships.
Great job!
Janice,
Good job! Thanks for reaching out to me and my wife Diane with that same info about the chamber. we have both joined this year .Diane with Pro-forma, and me with furniture options. Our new store Backn Bed is now open and we look forward to as much networking as possible.

Janice,
I agree with many of things you mentioned including going to as many events as you can. I have some additional suggestions:
1) Make eye contact!
2) Smile!
3) Instead of talking about your own business, ask questions of the other person.
4) Remember names! People will remember you when you do.
5) If you are asked about your business, tell a story about yours. People wll remember funny anecdotes.
Janice,
No question networking is a must for anyone operating a business!
Marcel
Janice,
You really brought out many of the reasons some professional do not like to network or feel it doesn’t produce results. Great job.
